Part of COM DEV International based in Cambridge, Ontario, COM DEV Europe
have a 2300 sq. m facility in Stoke Mandeville,
England, about 50km north-west of Heathrow airport. With over 90 staff, 20% of
whom are qualified and experienced engineers,
COM DEV Europe have since 1985 supplied Microwave and Electronic hardware for
over 55 satellite programmes for all the major
space primes.

Two class 10,000 cleanrooms and a class 100,000 asembly area are used for
the build and test of space hardware. Test equipment includes all necessary
equipment to perform measurements from DC to 50GHz as well as Thermal and
Thermal Vacuum chambers and a vibration test facility for environmental testing.
EMC testing is carried out at a number of local facilities.
Design tools include
OrCAD P-SPICE, HFSS, HP Series 4 RF design
software, SINDA and NISA for Mechanical and Thermal Modelling.
